At Richmond Vona, we believe in being active in our community. Our firm was founded on the principles of trust, compassion, and community—values that extend from our legal advocacy for the injured to the local causes we champion through our community involvement.
Standing Up After a Heartbreaking Break-In
Our community was shaken by the news that the Ten Lives Club storage facility was targeted in a senseless break-in. This wasn’t just a theft of property; it was a theft of hope for the animals in their care. The theft caused the loss of a significant number of items collected for the organization’s 25th Anniversary Gala auction. This is the organization’s largest fundraising event of the year to support the care of cats across Western New York. They rely on these donations from this event to provide shelter, medical care, and food for thousands of cats. A hit like this is devastating.
A Team of Pet Lovers Taking Action
The Richmond Vona team is comprised of more than just attorneys and legal professionals; we are also animal lovers, and many of us are passionate pet owners. We know that our pets are family. When we heard that the Gala auction was in jeopardy, our “team-first” culture kicked into high gear.
We were honored to welcome the Ten Lives Club team to our office and donate to their cause. We sat down to learn more about the logistical challenges they are facing following the break-in and, more importantly, how we could help. We were also treated to a visit from two of their smallest ambassadors, Nelson and Noreen, who reminded us exactly why their work is so vital. We are grateful for the work Ten Lives Club does throughout Erie County.
Why We Give Back
Richmond Vona takes a personalized approach, and we are proud to be active in the community. We put ourselves into everything we do—whether that is fighting a billion-dollar insurance company or supporting a local animal shelter. We’re proud to show R/V is in the community and helping great organizations like the Ten Lives Club.
We are proud to stand with Ten Lives Club as they recover from this incident. In the City of Good Neighbors, we don’t let an unfortunate incident have the final word—compassion does.
