What happens when a bystander gets hurt on a construction site?

When a bystander is injured by something stemming from a construction site, they can make a claim. The nature of that claim will be similar to any other premises liability case in New York, which is that the property owner or someone on the construction site had a duty to keep the area safe from the condition that injured the bystander, that duty was breached, and the person suffered some sort of injury. We proceed with those cases. We’ve personally worked on those cases.

Some of the labor laws of New York, and particularly the New York State Industrial Code, provide regulations and directions on the safety procedures and steps that have to be taken on construction sites. When bystanders are injured and can demonstrate that it was caused by a violation of one of the Industrial Codes, this is some evidence of the liability of one of the parties involved on the construction site.
