What is premises liability? What are common examples of premises liability in Western NY?
Premises liability cases are cases that stem from an individual being injured at someone else’s property or sometimes their own property if it happens to be a rental unit. These cases typically happen when there is a defect or a dangerous condition at the property that the person was injured at. Common examples of that that we see frequently are lifted or worn floorboards, lack of handrailings on stairs, broken stairs, slippery conditions which might involve a spilled item or could also be snow and ice.
