There’s no question that when looking for a personal injury lawyer, you have a lot of options. And I think it’s easy for people to kind of just first look at the results. And of course, results are really important, and you should be looking for high level result or high end results in the practice area that your case is in. So if you have a motor vehicle accident, of course you want to make sure that the lawyer hiring has really good results in those types of cases. But I think it’s also really important to look at other things. Look at their Google reviews. What are clients saying about them? What are past clients saying about them? Those are really, really important. Look at their website. How seriously do they take themselves? Is there video content? Is there a lot of information? Are they really providing you with information before you ever even call them?
What’s it like talking to them? What’s it like talking to them for the first time? Is this somebody who you think actually cares about your case, actually wants to go to battle for you? And what’s their communication style? Or do they heavily communicate with you? Are they available 24/7? Are they invited you to come in and meet with them? Meet the people that are going to work on your case, not just some person you talked to on the phone. Meet the actual team, meet the attorney, meet the team behind them who you’re going to be talking to a lot and look at the big picture and make sure this is somebody or a team that you feel comfortable with, that you feel is really going to have your back. So you got to make sure you have that level of comfort and trust with them.
