There’s one truck accident in particular that really stands out in my and in my partner, Keith’s mind. And that was a matter which occurred a few years ago. A gentleman actually was driving a truck himself for a well-known local, uh, grocery store, driving to Central New York to make a delivery in bad weather. It was early in the morning and our client was driving and all of a sudden he looked up and he sees another tractor trailer coming at him, jackknifing about to make impact. And as he says that he just closed his eyes and prayed. And what we found out through a quick investigation, getting our experts involved right away, pulling the black box data, investigating witnesses who were there, finding cameras that were on houses in the area, is we found out through all this evidence, that the driver actually tried to pass a few cars in an illegal passing zone, lost control in the snow. Jack-knived ended up making a major impact with our client, who then suffered life-changing injuries. And, you know, we filed that case right away and federal court, ’cause we knew that the insurance company wasn’t gonna do the right thing for our client. We didn’t wanna waste any time. And ultimately we ended up with a $4.25 million settlement on his behalf that then set him and his family up to take care of themselves, take care of their kids for the rest of their lives. So that’s one that I think that we’re particularly, uh, pretty proud of.
