Legal Assistant

Rita joined the Richmond Vona team as a legal assistant in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at another local personal injury law firm where she focused on assisting people injured in motor vehicle accidents.

Rita was drawn to the practice of law because she loves learning and enjoys finding new ways to help her clients get the justice they deserve. She is constantly focused on treating each client with respect, understanding, and compassion, and takes pride in her ability to adapt to her clients’ individual needs. Rita’s favorite part of her role is when clients reach out to her long after their cases have settled, often to share happy moments in their lives. Knowing that she made a difference and lasting impression in someone’s life provides her with the motivation to continue to help any way she can.

Rita began her life in Texas and spent her early childhood outside of Anaheim, CA, before planting her roots in Western New York when she was in her early teens. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, and is dead set on perfecting the recipe for the best chicken tortilla soup in the world! She is also an avid collector of 1990s and early 2000s toys. Each year, she participates in fundraising for Buffalo Pug & Small Breed Rescue, an animal shelter in Tonawanda, NY.
